There is something about floating in a pool at one in the morning and watching the stars that makes relaxing a whole lot easier -- especially when you spot a shooting star the second time you look up. That alone made the trip back here tonight worth the hassle of filling up the car with boxes before leaving.
Rockville itself has a feel of having slipped through a time warp to twenty years ago. There are several local businesses and a blessed dearth of chain stores. (It's actually quite shocking that this is still possible.) The only roads in or out are two-lane highways that wind through beautiful wooded areas. I really had no idea how used to having a city around me I had become until today.
This post marks the first time since middle school that I have managed to type without looking at the keys. There isn't really a choice; the switch on the wall didn't turn on the light, and I can't see anything but the screen.

There's two light switches on the wall. Try the other one.

I just love the idea that you were too lazy to figure out why the light didn't turn on and just called it a lost cause :o)
Anytime is a good time for relaxation in a pool. Water is just such a happy thing.

Man, I wish I had a pool. My apartment here kinda sucks (as you have undoubtedly heard me complain over on my blog)
